Keeping it real

Paul McCartney has revealed (sort of) the identity of the woman who inspired the song Eleanor Rigby (a scullery maid?).

Signature of E Rigby … thought to be the inspiration behind the Beatles hit Eleanor Rigby. 

This will be the inspiration for Wednesday’s Radio Free Lunch. At noon we’ll play songs that were written about real people.  Titles that come to mind are “Biko” by Peter Gabriel, Pride by U2 (MLK) or Boom Like that by Mark Knopfler (Ray Kroc).
