Arg! I missed RFL yesterday! I was so looking forward to it with my love of Star Trek. Darn meetings…

Other than Sarah MacLachlan and Gwen Stefani, I’m drawing a blank.

  3. Kassie

Sheryl Crow does a really great cover of an old James Taylor song- “You Can Close Your Eyes.” How ’bout that?

  4. Biz

You could play some DMB in honor of Dave’s wife. She’s not the singer, but undoubtedly has her hands full with Dave’s touring schedule and their twins…

And, for the Daily Cheese, there’s always Britney Spears…

  5. Julie

Ooooohhhh…I love this topic being a new Mom myself…

How about Annie Lennox? Bjork too!

    Happy Mothers’ Day!

  6. Julie

Melissa Etheridge comes to mind too…

  7. Julie

This is a stretch, but how about Lacey Mosley, lead singer of Flyleaf? I don’t think she’s a mom, but HER mother was a single mom of six . That deserves some kudos…or maybe I just want to hear “I’m So Sick” in a bad way…:)

  8. Julie

How about Fountain of Wayne’s “Stacey’s Mom”? for all the MILFs out there?

  9. Well, I had to go there:

Linda Thompson (with ex-Richard): Shoot Out The Lights. Their son Teddy is a pretty fine rocker in his own right.

    Happy Momz day,

    Larry

  10. SkinnyG

How about a song for Bono’s wife? I think they have at least 4 kids…and Sweetest Thing may have been written for her?

  11. Happy Mother’s Day Mara!!! Hope you get some breakfast in bed and a nice relaxing day.

So how about Tina Turner (River Deep, Mountain High), Annie Lenox (Little Bird) or Gwen Stefani (I’m Just a Girl).

And for the CHEESE, you should totally do Spice Girls (Wannabe), like totally. Aren’t they ALL mothers now!! Rock on Mara, and btw even though it’s a chick show, I do like the recipes from Cook Yourself Thin.

  12. Billy

    Sinead O’Connor
    Courtney Love
    oh, and My Mom.

  13. Reed

    Hi Mara,

How about something by Nelly Furtado, “say it right” or “i’m like a bird” would be great.

  14. My wife says Patti Smith, Annie Wilson (Heart), Pat Benatar, Liz Phair, Sherl Crow.

    Rock on Moms.

  15. Kim Tiernan

I vote Mara Davis the #1 Mom Who Rocks Atlanta every day with her awesome show……
    Rock On!

  16. Hello. Great job, if I wasn’t so busy with my school work I read your entire site. Thanks!
