Saturday, Elizabeth and I participated in the 2010 Ford Fusion “Best Kept Secret” contest with Dave-FM.  Listeners solicited their favorite mom and pop businesses for us to come and visit in the car.  In return they got a $100 Visa gift card and a commercial on Dave-FM.  Not bad, right? Here are some of the highlights:  

Artisan Bakery in Roswell.  Our listeners said they had the best Beignet in Atlanta and they were right.  These things were killer!

We also enjoyed a fabulous breakfast that was over the top.  

Artisan is run by a couple who are very passionate about quality food (love that).

Next stop, Spa Du Jour in Alpharetta.  Barbara (our winner and spa manager) was so lovely and I could totally feel the Steel Magnolias vibe in this place.  

All the people who go here know each other.  The salon is beautiful and they were kind enough to give E and I massages. We are definitely going back to use them.  Thanks you guys!!

We then hit a place called “Seaventures” which is a mecca for diving, swimming lessons and scuba equipment.  From there we stopped by a really cool bike shop called The Bicycle Doctor.

Lunch was at the delicious Sid’s Pizza in Suwannee.  The owners Stan and Sharon are the nicest people and are passionate about their pizza.  

Our pie was incredible (yes, we totally ate too much on this journey).

After lunch we hit my all time favorite nail place @Nails and Spa.  I am so glad someone nominated them because Kevin and Kim are the best.  Don’t be surprised if you run into a local celebrity here (no, not me! ). All the girls from Fox 5 go here.
