Good Morning Mara;
I remember watching the first episode on PBS when I was in kindergarten. We watched on a black and white tv set at school. This is probably my earliest childhood memory.
Here are my suggestions:
“Peace Frog” – The Doors (Kermit)
“No More Mr. Nice Guy” – Alice Cooper (Guy Smiley)
“And Your Bird Can Sing” – The Beatles (Big Bird)
“Scary Monsters (& Super Creeps)” – David Bowie (all the monsters)
“Psychotic Reaction” – Count Five (The Count)
“Trash” – New York Dolls (Oscar the Grouch)
“Every Day I Write the Book” – Elvis Costello (EC’s full name is Declan Patrick Aloysius MacManus. The imaginary character that only Big Bird can see is Snuffleupagus whose first name is Aloysius. Why the F do I know this?)
Cheese:
“Rubber Ducky” – Ernie
Today’s RFL is brought to you by the letters M & D and the number 92.9.
Cheers.
Neil
Sweet list and with some thought. Kudos! Especially on the M&D and 92.9!
Too bad you can’t play some Trash Can Sinatras.. How about something by the Hooters for “Hoot the Owl or “Flowers for Zoe”- Lenny Kravitz
